SOUTHPORT'S SSES SQUAD AWAY TO MMU NEWCASTLE IN CONFERENCE YOUTH LEAGUE

Our SSES squad who lead the Conference Youth League aim to make it five successive league wins this afternoon when they take on MMU Newcastle. The opposition are currently second in the Conference Youth League, so this is a real six pointer for Allan Smart's squad. Yesterday the SSES squad played a friendly at Blackburn Rovers running the Premiership under 18's very close in a highly impressive performance leading one nil before eventually losing to a last minute goal and finishing 3-2. |

We have a fabulous live music booking in the Grandstand Bar this Friday. Don't miss James Luke. Assistant entertainments manager Paul Glendenning is excited about booking James Luke and we are hopeful to have a full house to create a great atmosphere on Friday night. So if you are a Port supporter and enjoy live music pop along to the Grandstand Bar on Friday night.
Tickets are on sale in the Grandstand Bar and in the club shop for Friday December 19th when the Hendrix Experience perform the late, great Jimmy Hendrix music. Again a great night out at the Grandstand Bar to enjoy live music with very competitive bar prices.
We also have tickets on sale for New Years Eve when the highly rated group the Hexmen will entertain before ringing in the New Year at Haig Avenue.

Rossendale beat Clitheroe 2-1 in the Lancs Junior Cup so it's a trip to Rossendale on December 2nd. Marine beat Prescot Cables 3-1 which gives us a trip to Crosby in the Liverpool Senior Cup on a date to be arranged. |

CLUB SHOP OPEN FRIDAY NIGHT

The club shop will be open on Friday night between 7pm and 9pm. We had a real surge on Saturday for our half season tickets and our five match ticket offer. Thank you to everyone who purchased their ticket to support the Port. The Football Manager 2009 was very popular with only a few left. We have our Nike home and away kits plus plenty of Christmas present gifts stocked in the club shop with Nike coats, sweat shirts, t shirts, scarves, bags all uniquely with Southport FC logos. We also have a fantastic selection of Southport FC Christmas cards. For those who like collecting and memories of Southport and Southport FC we have our sets of limited edition post cards donated by David Jackson and printed by Mitchell and Wright. FA TROPHY TIE AWAY AT VAUXHALL MOTORS NEXT SATURDAY

Liam Watson's squad will be making the short FA Trophy trip to Cheshire on Saturday. Vauxhall Motors are again Southport's Trophy opponents having already encountered the Port in the FA Cup and Setanta Shield.
Neil Robinson was the major casualty on Saturday after coming on as a substitute he had to leave the field with a nasty head injury that required five stitches. In all Southport had four players under treatment for facial injuries. Robinson came on for Ciaran Kilheeney on 71minutes and was off six minutes later. |

Chief Executive Haydn Preece was a guest at Meols Cop Secondary School this morning. Mr Lee at Meols Cop invited the club to participate in a Year 1O BTEC Business Studies lesson. The lesson was very enjoyable and involved lot's of pupil participation and discussion. |
